Head Shadow is an iPhone app designed for individuals with hearing loss in one or both ears. The app utilizes the microphones on the iPhone or connected devices to capture nearby sounds and employs a 10 Band Equalizer to amplify the sounds to suit the user's listening preferences.
To use Head Shadow, users require wired or Bluetooth earbuds such as the EarPods that come with new iPhones or AirPods and AirPods Pro. The app is particularly useful for individuals with single-sided deafness, allowing them to customize sound amplification by selecting the active microphone on their AirPods.
Head Shadow offers four hearing programs that users can choose from based on their current hearing condition. The app also features a 10 Band Equalizer for further sound refinement, ensuring an optimal listening experience. Users can download and use the app for a 30-day trial period, after which a one-time purchase option is available.
